WHS Faculty

Ms. Christine Molonea is a graduate of the University of Massachusetts in Amherst.  She joined the Fitness & Health staff at Wellesley High School in 1981 also taking on the roles of varsity field hockey and varsity lacrosse coach. In 1988, Chris was transferred to Wellesley Middle School where she continued to teach Fitness & Health and also coached the 8th grade girls' basketball team.  Since returning to W.H.S. in 1999, Chris has rekindled her interest in Project Adventure and earned a Level 1 Challenge Course Technician Certification. In 2001 Chris was named Boston Globe Lacrosse Coach Of The Year and in 2004 Bay State Conference Field Hockey Coach Of The Year.

Mr. John Griffith - Fitness and Health teacher at Wellesley since 1996. Graduated from Walpole High School in 1990. Graduated from Springfield College 1995, Bachelor of Science (Physical Education/Health). Graduated from Cambridge College 2003, Master of Education-Administration. Wellesley Assistant football coach from 1996-present. Wellesley Assistant baseball coach from 1998-2001, 2005-present. Wellesley Head wrestling coach from 1996-2000. Wellesley Assistant wrestling coach from 2004-present. Wellesley Assistant track coach from 1996-1997. W.H.S. Class advisor from 2003-2005. Wellesley Speed and Conditioning Clinic co-founder from 2003-present.

Ms. Antoinette Duval joined the Fitness and Health staff at Wellesley High school in 2000. She received her Bachelor of Science in Education from S.U.N.Y. at Cortland, a Masters Degree in Science from Bridgewater State College and a Masters Degree in Education from Lesley University. She has coached various sports such as field hockey, basketball, softball and cross country in both the Milford and Uxbridge Public school systems. She currently holds a Level 1 certification in Yoga training and is an Impact Self-Defense instructor. In 1997, she received the Massachusetts Middle School Teacher of the Year from the Massachusetts Association for Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance (MAHPERD) and in 2003 received an Honor Award from MAHPERD.

Graduated from Worcester Polytechnic Institute 1995, Bachelor of Science (Biology). Graduated from Cambridge College  2002, Master of Education. Wellesley Head wrestling coach 2003-present. Wellesley Assistant football coach 2002-present. W.H.S. Class advisor from 2003-2005. Wellesley Speed and Conditioning Clinic co-founder from 2003-present.
